The Doberman is a dog of German origin. It was created by Mr. Frédéric Louis Dobermann, a tax collector, towards the end of the 19th century. It is a medium-sized dog, well muscled while remaining very elegant. Its coat can be either “black and tan” or “brown and tan” colors. He is naturally friendly, and is very appreciated in a family setting because he is very kind with children, while remaining sporty and being a very good watchdog.
In the past, the Doberman often benefited from a bad image, because he was represented as evil by the media, and especially in many action films. Fortunately, its former false bad image tends to fade away with the product of the real Dobermann which is a family dog. In addition, the Doberman is not officially recognized as a dangerous dog, so a muzzle is not mandatory, even when walked in public places, unlike the Rottweiler.
For families interested in adopting a Doberman puppy, it is strongly recommended to avoid puppies not registered with the LOF (“Book of French Origins”), and to contact a recognized breeder directly, who will be able to help you. offer all the guarantees concerning your puppy, in particular with regard to its health, its character, its conformity to the standard, and will be able to advise you effectively on its education. It is also advisable to check that the breeder is a member of the DCF (“Dobermann Club de France”), and to ask to visit his breeding. In addition, no puppy must leave the breeder before 2 months (“French law”).
A new litter of Dobermann puppies has just been born (4 males, 1 black and tan female), at the end of March, in the “Vom Jagerfuss” kennel (family kennel located in Lorraine). The stallion is “Aramis Dick Vom Heckendorf” (tan/tat work, dog recommended by the official club), and the contender “Tara Tzarine Vom Heckendorf” (multi-champion, champion of Luxembourg, free from dysplasia, and selected for the Club Championship). The puppies will of course be registered with the LOF, tattooed and vaccinated.
A word from the breeder: “We only produce one litter per year, prioritizing quality over quantity. This is why we are looking for host families who will provide all the necessary affection to our companions. »
